Focused Nutrition is a UK‑based company that specialises in manufacturing hand‑crafted, healthy flapjacks. They offer both their own range of flapjacks sold across all major retailers as well as contract manufactured bespoke snack bars and flapjacks for other businesses.
Focused Nutrition has strong real-world capability, but their brand story and service offering wasn’t being resolved across the ideal customer base inside ChatGPT and similar AI tools - particularly for high-intent prompts where buyers form shortlists.
This is common when the brand narrative is clear to humans, but not consistently structured for machine summarisation; when third-party authority exists but isn’t easy for AI to verify and reuse; when information is not presented in the most machine-accessible format; and when the digital footprint needs a more systematic “source-of-truth” hierarchy.
Our team performed an extensive diagnosis of Focused Nutrition's strength on ChatGPT and Gemini, using our proprietary blueprint to create an optimisation baseline. We then embarked on a 12-month program of work to improve the company's visibility, trust, and recommendations on ChatGPT and Gemini, targeted on creating a substantial edge over their competitors.
We created an AI visibility and trust baseline using commercially meaningful prompts (recommendations, supplier shortlists, “who manufactures…”, and trust/verification queries). We then mapped Focused Nutrition’s brand-resolution and service-resolution targets - ensuring the business is consistently understood as a specialist UK flapjack manufacturer with both an own-range route-to-market and a contract manufacturing offer. This phase produced a prioritised repair backlog spanning brand clarity and core web foundations, with the most important repair work performed first.
We then began rolling out improvements to proposition clarity on priority surfaces so the manufacturing story is easier to summarise accurately without “blurring” between offers. In parallel, we developed and deployed answer-ready structures and messaging blocks designed to improve extractability and reduce ambiguity in AI outputs, alongside trust reinforcement improvements intended to increase repeatability and verification.
We continue to re-test a target prompt set, track changes in inclusion and accuracy over time, and maintain a prioritised optimisation pipeline based on what AI tools are actually returning. This “always-on” approach helps prevent drift and ensures improvements compound as AI discovery behaviours evolve.
We monitor various metrics to measure uplift in visibility, trust and recommendations across the main AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini. Our work with Focused Nutrition is notable for the speed at which success was delivered for the client. Although our work is ongoing, the first six months yielded results that exceeded client expectations.
These results are expected to be compounded over time as the client’s AI footprint matures and as we continue to work hard to build on existing successes.
AI recommendation moments are now part of the buying journey. Brands that win are the ones that are easiest for AI systems to understand, verify, and recommend confidently. This engagement demonstrates Recrawled’s approach: start with fundamentals, repair resolution blockers, optimise clarity and trust signals, and keep it always-on so results appear early and compound over time.

We are not a SaaS platform. We are real people doing real human work to help clients both mitigate and take advantage of AI assistants like ChatGPT. We deliver results within a three-phased work program: Diagnosis + Setup, Repair + Optimisation, and Management + Continuity.
At the heart of our work is our powerful multi-layer blueprint which continuously self-adapts to the rapid, ongoing developments in AI technology. Our blueprint both improves and augments each client's entire digital footprint with laser-focused targeting to increase visibility, trust and recommendations on AI assistants. The ultimate goal is to increase client revenue.

AI presence is becoming more important than search rankings
Products and services have to aim to be recommended on AI

AI platforms are replacing traditional brand loyalty
Brands have to aim to be trusted on AI platforms

AI overviews are reducing visits to company-owned media
Businesses increasingly have to compensate via AI visibility
AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini don’t rank websites in the same way search engines do. They typically resolve answers using signals like entity clarity (who you are), consistency (same facts everywhere), evidence (proof and specificity), machine accessibility (content they can parse), and external trust validation (credible third-party corroboration).
AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is the practice of making your brand and content easier for AI assistants to understand, trust, and reuse. In practice, we combine technical and creative work across machine accessibility, information architecture, entity mapping, and external validation - with real human execution (not a “set-and-forget” tool).
Often we can commit to specific performance guarantees. We increase the probability and consistency of being cited and recommended by improving the signals that AI systems rely on, and we keep going until we achieve a meaningful competitive advantage for our clients (resulting in a multiple ROI). Customer success is extremely important to us - it's the reason we exist!
